Bareilly Horror: Retired Doctor Escapes Murder Plot by Wife and Her Lover — Tied Up, Threatened with Knife, Forced to Sign Documents

Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh): In a shocking incident from Bareilly’s Subhashnagar area, a retired eye specialist narrowly escaped death after his wife allegedly tried to kill him with the help of her lover. The doctor claimed that his wife spiked his milk with sleeping pills, tied him up with ropes while he was unconscious, and then forced him at knifepoint to sign several documents and cheques.

According to the 65-year-old doctor, his wife Shikha (57) conspired with her lover Saurabh Saxena (45) to murder him on October 28. He alleged that once he lost consciousness, the duo tied his hands and legs tightly. When he regained his senses, he found himself bound and a knife pressed against his chest as they demanded signatures on financial papers.

However, fate turned in his favor when Saurabh — reportedly a heavy drinker and drug addict — consumed excessive alcohol kept in the house. Soon after, he passed out on the floor, unable to continue the assault. Taking advantage of the moment when Shikha went into the bathroom, the doctor somehow freed himself from the ropes and ran outside the house shouting for help.

Neighbors immediately gathered and informed the police, but by the time officers arrived, Shikha and her lover had fled.

During investigation, police found that the couple had switched off the home’s CCTV system before the attack. However, footage from nearby houses has provided crucial evidence. Police teams are now conducting raids to trace and arrest both absconding accused.

The incident has sent shockwaves across Bareilly’s medical fraternity, as the victim is a well-known and influential retired ophthalmologist in the city.
