Tragic Fatehpur Road Accident: Newlywed Youth Dies, Wife Shocked on Seeing Husband’s Body

Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh: A tragic road accident in Fatehpur has claimed the life of a newlywed youth, leaving his family devastated. The victim, 25-year-old Rakesh, had tied the knot just 15 days ago with Lakshmi Devi of Dingh village, Bindki Tehsil. On Tuesday evening, while returning home, he met with a fatal collision that also left two others critically injured.

Accident Details
According to police, Rakesh, a resident of Bhavarajpur village in the JafarGanj police jurisdiction, was riding his motorcycle around 6:30 PM on the Khajuha-Mughal road, near the Government Polytechnic College, when another bike coming from the opposite direction collided with him.

Two men riding the other bike, Veerendra Singh (35) and Mohan (35) from Sohan (Eentgaon), Khaga Kotwali, were severely injured. They were reportedly returning from Selavan village after collecting muskmelon seeds.

Immediate Medical Attention
Local police and passersby rushed to the scene and took the injured to CHC Bindki. Doctors declared Rakesh dead on arrival, while Veerendra and Mohan were referred to the district hospital in critical condition.

Family in Shock
Upon learning of the accident, Rakesh’s family reached the hospital. Witnessing the body, his wife Lakshmi fainted, and family members were left in shock and grief. The police have taken possession of the body for post-mortem and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Police Statement
Thana Incharge Inspector H.K. Mishra confirmed that legal procedures are underway, and authorities are examining the circumstances leading to the fatal collision.

This heartbreaking incident underscores the risks on Fatehpur roads and leaves a family mourning just days after celebrating a new marriage.
