His daughter Rohini Acharya announced that she is severing ties with both her family and the party, alleging mistreatment by her brother Tejashwi Yadav and his close associates.

Rohini also shared a new video on X and Facebook in which she is heard speaking to a Bihar-based journalist for nearly six minutes. Her voice appears strained, and during the call she angrily questions the journalist, asking:
“Tell me, how many hours or how many days should a daughter stay at her parents’ home? Give me the calculation.”

Posting the video, Rohini wrote a sharp message urging people who use Lalu Yadav’s name for politics to instead come forward and donate kidneys to the countless poor patients struggling for survival.

She added:
“Those who call a daughter’s donated kidney ‘impure’ should first gather the courage to debate openly with me. Let those who criticise me start by donating their own kidneys before preaching to me.”

Rohini reminded her followers that she had donated a kidney to her father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, calling the act a responsibility of love and sacrifice — not something to be judged or shamed.
