Noida, Uttar Pradesh: A heated altercation broke out between a tenant and the operator of a girls’ PG in Sector-62, Noida, escalating into physical assault. The incident, captured on video and widely circulated on social media, has prompted the Sector-58 Police to file an FIR and initiate an investigation.
Incident Details
The dispute occurred at Vipin Raj Homes PG, managed by Ritu and Vipin, which houses only female tenants. Reports indicate that the confrontation arose over the tenant vacating her room and a disagreement regarding advance payments. During the scuffle, the operator, Ritu, allegedly twisted the tenant’s hand and slapped her. The video, lasting approximately 1 minute 13 seconds, also shows Vipin allegedly threatening the tenant while a bystander outside the PG can be heard offering assistance.
Police Investigation
Inspector Amit Kumar, in charge of Sector-58 Police Station, confirmed that the FIR has been registered and an investigation is underway. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the PG premises to verify the events.
The tenant reported that prior disputes over food in the mess had created tension. Approximately a month ago, the operator had issued a notice for the tenant to vacate the room, further escalating the conflict over the advance payment.
