
Satna, MP: A shocking incident has emerged from the Gaivinath Temple in Birsinghpur, Satna district, where a group of youths allegedly crossed all limits while making a social media ‘reel’. The viral video shows the youngsters engaging in dangerous firecrackers inside the temple premises and performing obscene gestures, sparking outrage among devotees. The police have taken suo motu cognizance of the matter and registered a case against three individuals.
Disrespect During Late-Night Rituals
According to sources, the incident reportedly took place late at night during Deepawali or Dev Uthani Ekadashi celebrations. In the video circulating online, several local youths can be seen lighting high-decibel firecrackers inside one of Satna’s prominent Hindu pilgrimage sites. To gain popularity on social media, the youngsters allegedly made obscene gestures and inappropriate acts in front of the camera, shocking viewers.
Social Media Sparks Public Outrage
The video went viral on Monday evening, causing widespread anger in Birsinghpur and surrounding areas. Locals have demanded strict action against those disrespecting a sacred religious site and misusing it for social media attention.
Sacred Space Should Not Be Mocked
Gaivinath Temple is one of Satna district’s major religious attractions, drawing thousands of devotees during Sawan and Mahashivratri. Residents say that using such holy places for obscene videos sends a wrong message to society and is an insult to religious sentiments, which cannot be tolerated.
FIR Filed Against Three Youths
Recognizing the gravity of the incident, Sabha Pur Police Station In-Charge Shankhdhar Dwivedi confirmed that the police have identified the three youths from the viral video. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway to ensure accountability.
