Bareilly Bar Brawl on Christmas Night: Intoxicated Youths Attack Woman with Bottle

Bareilly: A Christmas night celebration at a Bareilly bar turned violent after a group of intoxicated youths allegedly harassed a young woman, leading to a brutal attack with a bottle. The incident left the woman bleeding from her head and sparked chaos inside the bar.

Incident Details
The victim, a resident of City Colony, along with her brother, had visited My Bar Headquarters near Satellite Pass to celebrate Christmas. According to her statement, several boys began making obscene gestures and harassing her. When she and her brother protested, the accused attacked her with a bottle on the head, causing bleeding. The attackers then fled after issuing threats to kill.

Police Action
A complaint has been filed at Baradari Police Station against nine youths, including Rounit Srivastava, Saloni Patel, Dhruv Rai, Aman Rai, Chirag Gupta, and three unidentified individuals. CCTV footage from the bar revealed that the party continued well past 1 a.m. on Christmas night. The police have seized the footage as evidence and stated that action will also be taken against the bar management.

Official Statement
Inspector Dhananjay said that the altercation reportedly began during a clash between women on the dance floor, which escalated into a full-blown fight. Two youths have been booked and fined for disturbing public peace, while the investigation continues to identify and apprehend the remaining accused.

Bar Management Under Scrutiny
Authorities have indicated that the bar management will face legal action for allowing illegal alcohol service and failing to maintain order during the celebration.
