In a major action linked to alleged real-estate fraud, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Amit Katyal, a prominent builder considered close to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family. Katyal was detained under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) at the ED’s Gurugram regional office on Monday. A special Gurugram court has since sent him to six-day ED custody.
