Developed India by 2047: PM Modi Emphasizes Speedy Infrastructure and Reforms

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reiterated India’s ambitious goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047, emphasizing that this vision is no longer just a government objective but has become a collective aspiration of the entire country.

Speaking at a meeting with leading economists and experts at NITI Aayog, the Prime Minister highlighted the urgent need to enhance institutional capacity and accelerate infrastructure planning to sustain long-term growth across all sectors. The meeting, titled “Self-Reliance and Structural Reforms: Agenda for a Developed India”, focused on the key pillars necessary to achieve India’s development goals by 2047.

Collective Aspiration and Growing Expectations:
PM Modi pointed out that the dream of a developed India has moved beyond policy frameworks to become a shared expectation among citizens. This shift is visible in changing patterns of education, consumption, and global mobility. He stressed that meeting these expectations requires maximum effort at every level and called for implementing reforms in a mission-mode approach to strengthen capabilities and integrate India more effectively with the global economy.

Boosting Productivity and Competitiveness:
Economists at the meeting suggested enhancing productivity and competitiveness in both manufacturing and service sectors. They emphasized structural transformation through higher household savings, robust infrastructure, and adoption of modern technologies. The role of artificial intelligence in connecting sectors and boosting productivity was highlighted as a key driver of India’s development.

Mission-Mode Reforms:
The Prime Minister urged that reforms be executed in a focused, mission-oriented manner to realize the vision of a developed India by 2047, ensuring that citizens’ aspirations for a better standard of living are met.
